The separation distance S from the nearest actuator to the hazard zone shall be calculated using the following euation:
S=(K×T)+DDS
Where:
K=1600 [mm/s]
DDS=550 [mm]
The standard prescribes that DDS can be 0 if the risk of encroachment of the hands or part of the hands towards the hazard zone is eliminated and if the minimum allowable separation distance S is ≥ 100 [mm].
